Principal Designer

Pedro Pinto

Pedro is an experienced Lighting Designer with over 15 years of expertise in the field. He's worked on a wide array of architectural projects, from homes and businesses to art galleries, recording studios, and restaurants.

His impressive portfolio features numerous successfully completed projects across both the UK and internationally. Among them, the Perf House in London stands out as a signature work, earning recognition by being shortlisted for the DARC Awards and receiving the esteemed American Architecture Prize.

With a strong academic grounding, Pedro earned an MSc in Light & Lighting from the prestigious Bartlett, University College London. Following his studies, he honed his skills by working for several renowned lighting design studios in London before establishing his own firm, Pinto Lighting Design.

Beyond his professional achievements, Pedro actively engages with the lighting design community. In 2017, he delivered a thought-provoking talk titled "The Future of Smart Lighting in Small Medium Projects" at the prestigious Shanghai International Lighting Fair.

Furthermore, he demonstrated his leadership and mentorship skills by participating in the "Ó Mouraria, ilumina a montra!" workshop in Lisbon, organized by LLD-APDII. As a team leader, he guided a group of architecture and design students in developing a compelling lighting design concept for a local store display window, contributing to the revitalization of the historic Mouraria borough.
